North Ridge Ranch borders the town of Buffalo, WY and offers tremendous views of the Bighorn Mountains and the beautiful Cloud Peak skyline. Opportunities for cattle, future development, or conservation. Your choice. Wildlife and scenery abound right next to Buffalo and just minutes into the Bighorn Mountains.
If you’ve ever wanted to live in or near the wonderful town of Buffalo, Wyoming, but also want some elbow room and views of the incredible Cloud Peak Skyway that is so unique to this area, then North Ridge Ranch is for sale and your opportunity to do so. The ranch currently has a very modest home, but has many building sites that will afford you the incredible views, yet maintain privacy. But more than just a place for a fantastic new home, North Ridge Ranch is a cattle ranch as well, plus it offers excellent hunting and wildlife viewing. It currently runs cows and is cross fenced with water development and naturally occurring springs in the long draw that runs through the property. This ranch is also adjacent to Upper French Creek Ranch, which is also offered for sale*.
North Ridge Ranch is currently zoned Agricultural and the only limitations on development are constrained to Wyoming’s 35-acre minimum tract size. There is currently one cross fence, which could naturally divide the ranch in two parcels, and it is already legally defined to do so, should one so desire. The property lends itself to more tracts, with many desirable building sites.
Perhaps you have no desire to subdivide the property, or perhaps you might like to ensure the lasting unobstructed view of the ridge from Buffalo. This ranch lends itself to a conservation easement, which can have some tax advantages.
This property has been used for the grazing of cattle for many years.
North Ridge Ranch offers plenty of pronghorn antelope at all times of the year. You’ll also find some mule deer and Hungarian Partridge. It’s possible that elk might enter the property, but it shouldn’t be expected. They like to reside on top of the adjacent property.

The climate around the Buffalo/Sheridan area is one of the most “live-able” climates in Wyoming with pleasant summers and moderate winters. Perhaps it’s the proximity to the 45th parallel along with the positioning next to the Bighorn Mountains and the lower altitude, but the Bighorn Mountain foothills have always been one of the most desirable places to live for those who have experienced it. Whatever the reason, it’s hard to argue that this area doesn’t have the greenest and most pleasant climates.
